Connecticut WarblerThe Connecticut warbler
is one of the most sought-after birds at Magee Marsh; whenever one
is reported, a large crowd forms where it was seen as others try to
catch
a glimpse. The bird tends to stay close to the ground and in
dense thickets. It is most common during the last two weeks of
May, peaking around the last week of the month. The only other
bird it's likely to be confused with is the mourning warbler; the
Connecticut has a strong white eye ring that
distinguishes it from the latter species.
